Mission Statement What We Aim To Do And Be
A mission statement can seem like a rather mechanical list of tick boxes. This doesn’t fit well with the life of a church, which is a very fluid and organic organisation. However, it help to focus our purpose and aim. It act like a fixed point which can be useful to return to from time to time.
Our Mission Statement
1. To live lives as individual people and as an organization which lifts up and shares the gospel of Jesus Christ.
2. To worship together, pray together, learn from each other, support each other and play together.
3. To use all means to proclaim the gospel, reaching out to those who don’t know Christ.
4. To be aware of and to help wherever possible, people in need, whether spiritual or material.
Our Vision
1. To be a Christ-Centred People.
2. In a Christ-Centred Church.
3. Proclaiming a Christ-Centred Message.
4. With Christ Centred Love.

We accept the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, as the inspired word of God.

Statement 4
Jesus is the Christ, the anointed of God, the Son of the living God. He shares the very nature of the Father. Jesus is eternal, that is, He had no beginning and is without end. He is, together with the Father and the Holy Spirit, the creator of all things.

John 17 v 5
Hebrews 13 v 8

Statement 5
Jesus was born, the son of Mary, whilst she was still a virgin, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit. Born in Bethlehem, growing up in Nazareth, He is truly and fully human, yet at the same time truly and fully God. He is the final and complete revelation of the person and character of God, the image of the invisible God. After His death on a cross, He rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, where He acts as our great high priest. One day He will return to receive all believers to Himself and to judge the world.

Statement 6
The Holy Spirit who also took part in creation, has been active in the world from the beginning, calling and inspiring men and women. He is a person, not merely an influence, sharing with the Father and the Son the full nature of deity.
Genesis 1 v 2
2 Peter 1 v 21
John 16 vv 12-16
Ephesians 1 vv 13-14
Statement 7
We believe that because of The Fall, human beings are lost, separated from God by sin. Jesus, by living a sinless life, was able to take upon Himself the sin and guilt of the world. As a perfect sacrifice, His death on a cross has become the means by which our sins can be forgiven, our guilt taken away and we can be reconciled to God. The confirmation of the effectiveness of His sacrifice came when Jesus was raised from the dead. Salvation is a gift from God, given by grace and received by faith. Through believing in Jesus Christ, we are born again, receive eternal life and become part of His church.

The outward confession that we have received Jesus Christ as our Saviour and Lord is by baptism, which we practice as a total immersion in water. This symbolises that we have died and risen with Him, and are determined to live a new life in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Acts 2 v 38
Romans 6 vv 3-4
