Church Accessibility

Church accessibility is important to us at Hasbury Community Church.  We try to be as accessible as possible to as many people as possible.  However, we don’t always get it right, and we’re keen to learn how we can improve.  The church had a major rebuild project in 2011 when a lot was done to improve Church accessibility for all people.  We now have the following: –

  • All the building’s main facilities are on one level.  A gentle ramp at the front gives access to the main entrance.
  • We have a fully specified disabled toilet which was built as part of the rebuild project of 2011.
  • The main Ladies’ and Gents’ toilets have large, easily accessible cubicles.  This benefits anyone with limited mobility.  These were refurbished in 2025
  • Baby changing facilities are available within the disabled toilet.
  • We have a lightweight, sel-propellable wheelchair at the church and this is available for anyone make use of as required.
  • There is disabled parking reserved on the main carpark.
  • The main rooms have an inductive hearing aid loop for all main events.
  • We cater for people who are celiac or gluten intolerant.  Our communion service uses gluten free bread exclusively.

Please feel free to point out any ways in which we can improve accessibility.
